Breakfast buffet at the Hotel. Lisbon is the capital and the largest city of Portugal. We can start to discover Belém. Here, you will admire the Belém Tower, one of the most expressive monuments of Lisbon, followed by the well-known Jeronimos Monastery, considered one of the most beautiful monuments of Portugal. Before ending our tour of Lisbon, you will be able to taste the famous "Pastéis de Belém" at the bakery that has been producing them since 1837. Accommodation in Lisbon.
Breakfast buffet at the Hotel. From Lisbon you travel north, towards Porto. First stop at Óbidos, a town located on a hill and encircled by a fortified wall. At Alcobaça and Batalha, two important UNESCO monuments: the Monastery of Alcobaça, a huge church which is a symbol of the Portuguese History and awarded in 1989; and the Monastery of Batalha, one of the most original examples of Late Gothic architecture in Portugal and listed in 1983. After a great breakfast at the Hotel, our friendly driver/guide will lead you through the historic center of Porto, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, in 1996. We will discover the most important monuments, sites and squares, like the Cathedral, the Clerigos Tower, the São Bento Railway Station, the Batalha Square and the Ribeira Square, one of the most famous and oldest squares of the city, where cruises depart and it’s possible to savor the river and the amazing view, being a privileged meeting point for people. Crossing the D. Luís Bridge, the most famous and impressive bridge in the city, we will arrive at Vila Nova de Gaia, to visit one of the most famous Porto wine cellars. Here, we will learn more about the production of this famous wine and we will make a delicious wine tasting. Accommodation in Porto.
Breakfast buffet at the Hotel. We will visit the Minho region, one of the greenest region in Portugal, with its spectaculars manors and traditions. Today, we go to Braga and Guimarães. In Braga, discover the majesty of the Cathedral and the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus with its Baroque stairway. Then, explore the Historic Centre of Guimarães, declared a World Heritage Site in 2001, and visit the most emblematic sites of this “Cradle City” such as “Paços dos Duques" (Dukes Palace), built in the 15th century by D. Afonso’s orders, 1st Duke of Braganca. Its architectural style reflected the tastes that he had acquired in his trips through Europe, however the building passed through some changes during “Estado Novo” period by Salazar’s orders. Breakfast buffet at the Hotel. We will depart from Porto towards the Douro wine region. Douro was considered the Best European River Destination by the Huffington Post in 2013. Just admire the magnificent beauty of the landscape and enjoy some of the best wines in the world! In the Douro Valley, we will visit two of the most famous and traditional wineries. During these visits, you will learn about the history of wine, the current and ancient production process and discover the secrets behind the development of this famous wine. At the end of these visits, you will have the fantastic opportunity to taste the delicious wines produced there. Accommodation in Douro Valley.
Breakfast buffet at the Hotel. The route continues to the village of S. Joao da Pesqueira, considered the "heart of the Douro Wine Region", with probably the most stunning view of the entire region. We will stop at Foz Côa for a visit and tasting in a vineyard. You will learn about the history of the estate and its wines. Then we will visit Côa museum. A building of the Archaeological Park of Coa Valley, founded in 2010, perfectly integrated in the great beauty of the natural landscape. On the inside, you will be able to see the prehistoric time art through several well-preserved stone engravings. The Archaeological Park of Foz Côa has been classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, in 1998. Accommodation in the Douro Wine Region.
Breakfast buffet at the Hotel. Coimbra is also known as the "city of the students". The University of Coimbra is the oldest academic institution in the Portuguese-speaking world and the newest World Heritage Site of Portugal (listed in 2013). Explore this University and other emblematic monuments of this town. Then, you will visit Tomar, the last Templar town to be commissioned for construction. Its Convent of Christ was listed as a UNESCO site in 1983. Accommodation in Lisbon.

Sintra is a romantic village at the edge of the Sintra Mountain Range and its unique characteristics have made it a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995.This guided tour includes a visit to Sintra National Palace and to the stunning landscapes of this Park. Breakfast buffet at the Hotel. Finally, you head to the landscapes of the Alentejo, known for its golden plains, towards Evora. The Historic Centre of Évora was declared a UNESCO Heritage in 1986. Explore this place, visiting the Roman Temple, the Church of S. Francisco and the Bones Chapel. To call it a day at last, we will visit Évora’s Cathedral, built in granite was only completed in 1250 (began to be built in 1186). Religious building marked by the transition between the Romanic and gothic architecture styles, classified as national monument in 1910. Then, we will visit Elvas and its walls, considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Return and accommodation in Lisbon.
