On this full-day private tour, our expert drive/guide will pick you up at your Hotel and we will travel to south along the coast to Aveiro. This pretty coastal town is now a vibrant and modern university place, but it remains faithful to its fishing port roots. It is a myriad of canals and beautiful architecture and for this reason people from all over the world named it the little Venice of Portugal.
Here you will admire its attractive "Art Nouveau" houses that line the Aveiro’s canals, where you can find the colourful, traditional and beautiful “moliceiros” boats. Stroll through its historic streets and taste the famous “ovos moles”, a typical sweet essentially made with eggs. Then we will proceed to Coimbra and, along this journey, we will regard the candy-colored fishing houses and the sandy white beach of Costa Nova.
And this tour will end with a visit to Coimbra, considered the Medieval Capital of Portugal. With an incredible historic center, crossed by the Mondego River, this charming city has notable monuments, medieval churches and Cathedrals. Also known as the “Student’s City”, because it has one of the oldest universities in the world, you can witness the famous tradition of the students' attire and the music of Fado singed by male scholars. A visit to the University is also mandatory. Placed on a hill overlooking the entire city, it is the lifeblood of Coimbra. Return to Porto. End of our services.
