The imposing Roman Temple, the magnificent Cathedral and the Church of St. Francis with its bizarre Chapel of Bones stand out. You can also stroll through its marvelous streets, where the white houses show the Arab influence, and admire the typical crafts of cork, ceramic and copper. Free time for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will explore the wine side of Alentejo. It is one of the most important grape and wine producing regions in Portugal and here can be found several cellars and wines considered some of the best in the world.
