Departure: 09h00 a.m. On this Full-Day Tour, we will pick you up at your Hotel and we will travel to the northernmost province of Portugal. This amazing area is also called “Alto Minho” and borders with Galicia, Spain. It is characterized by its impressive historic sites, stunning views baths by the Atlantic Ocean and unspoiled nature, plenty of vineyards that produce the famous “Vinho Verde” wines (green wines).
Our tour will start in Barcelos, a beautiful town famous for the cockerel legend, a great Portuguese symbol. Here we will visit its pleasant historic center, where you will find the picturesque handicraft. Then our trip will proceed to the gorgeous city of Viana do Castelo. This North Atlantic City is blessed with both an appealing medieval center and awesome beaches. We will stroll through its medieval streets and discover its imposing city hall. Then we will reach the top of Santa Luzia hill, inspired by Sacré-Coeur in Paris, to admire the incredible view over the city, the river Lima estuary and the sea. And our tour will end with a visit to Ponte de Lima, considered the oldest village of Portugal and once a favored stop for pilgrims, where we will visit its beautiful historic center.
