We depart from Porto in the early morning. We will travel to Fátima first. We head towards the emblematic Sanctuary of Fátima, the largest place of worship in Portugal and one of the most important pilgrimage destinations in the world, where you will feel the inspiring devotion of many pilgrims from all over the globe. In this iconic and mysterious city, we will visit the Chapel of the Apparitions, the Church of the Holy Trinity, and the Basilica, which houses the tombs of the Three Shepherds. We will continue to Aljustrel, where we will visit the homes where the Three Shepherds -Lúcia, Francisco, and Jacinta - were born.
Later, we will continue the visit to Coimbra, famous for its University from the 13th century, a UNESCO World Heritage site. In the afternoon, our itinerary continues with a visit to the historic city of Coimbra, the former capital of Portugal, known as the "City of Students". After a panoramic tour of the main points of interest, we will admire the University of Coimbra, one of the oldest in Europe, classified as a World Heritage site by UNESCO. From the university campus, you can enjoy an incredible panoramic view of this charming city and the Mondego River.
