Departure: 09h00 a.m. We leave Lisbon in the morning and head for Évora, a charming city surrounded by walls and classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Évora is a true open-air museum, having been influenced by the Celts and Romans. On the other hand, the houses painted in white, the arches and the twisted alleys reflect the Moorish presence. With this incredible route, we'll walk through the medieval streets of Évora, with its marvellously preserved monuments and buildings. Our first stop will be the Roman Temple, dedicated to Diana, the goddess of the hunt. Dating back to the 2nd century, this temple is one of the best preserved monuments on the Iberian Peninsula. We will also visit the Cathedral, the Church of St Francis and the exuberant Chapel of Bones (where you can find the famous and strange phrase "we, the bones that are here, wait for you"), and the University, with its famous cloister.
Our tour will end with a visit to one of Portugal's most famous wineries with a delicious wine tasting included. Return to Lisbon. End of our services.
