Departure: 09h00 a.m. During this morning, we will explore the emblematic city of Porto. This second largest city in Portugal is also the capital of Northern Region. It is a fascinating place, with breathtaking natural beauty, UNESCO sites, culture and tradition. But it is also contemporary and artistic.

Here, we will admire the historic centre, the Clerigos Tower, São Bento Railway Station and its extraordinary tiles, the centennial Cathedral, Lello Bookshop and much more. Along the Douro River, you will see the colorful houses, the Luís I Bridge and the Ribeira square. And our tour will end with a visit to a famous Port Wine Cellars with a fantastic Port Wine tasting. We will pick you up at your Hotel and we will travel through one of the most magnificent regions in Portugal: the Douro Valley. It is classified as World Heritage by UNESCO and it has an incredible natural beauty. Here is produced the nectar that is usually called the “God’s drink”: the famous Port Wine. It is a majestic wilderness, one of the oldest demarcated wine regions in the world. Our first stop will be Amarante. Here, you can visit the convent and church, but you can also admire its beautiful bridge and Historic Centre. We continue our trip to Galafura, a small village near Régua. 

On our way, we will stop at São Leonardo de Galafura viewpoint, one of the most beautiful and famous viewpoints in the Douro Valley. Then, we will proceed to the charming village of Pinhão, where an 01h00 cruise waits for us, allowing us to relax and enjoy the amazing river views of the Douro Valley. And before our return to Porto, we will visit one of the most famous wineries (named “Quinta”), with a sweet Wine Tasting. Return to Porto. Accommodation in Porto.  

On the 4^th day of our magnificent Tour, we will explore the Minho Region. Being the country’s greenest and most traditional province, it is considered the Portugal’s best-kept secret. We will start visiting the city of Braga, that has been the country’s religious capital since Roman times. Here, we will visit the oldest Cathedral of Portugal and the iconic Sanctuary of Bom Jesus, with an amazing baroque stairway and one of the most important Shrines of Iberian Peninsula.

Then, our trip will proceed to Guimarães, the birthplace of D. Afonso Henriques, first king of Portugal. We will discover its fairy-tale castle and admire the famed phrase “Portugal was born here”. We will also explore the well-preserved historic centre, listed as World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Return to Porto. Accommodation in Porto.
