The Alfândega Congress Centre - Porto was listed as The Best Congress Centre of Europe in 2014. This magnificent Congress Centre was awarded by the magazine "Business Destinations".
Located on the Douro River, the Alfândega Congress Centre has superb views over the Vila Nova de Gaia Quay it was designed by the French architect Jean Colson. Completed in 1869, it has a wide set of auditoriums and rooms and polyvalent spaces. It was design to host any kind of event, and please the most demanding standards.
Furthermore, it is only 10 minutes away from the centre of Porto city, from the main hotels in Porto and less than 30 minutes from the International Airport and train stations.
The jury of the conquest was composed of magazine editors and experts from the tourism and business sector. They analyzed various criteria such us: the quality and the variety of services, the value for money, the online presence, website and other applications, the sustainability practices and environmental awareness, customer service and business acumen.
Thus, the Alfândega Congress Center is, nowadays, a mandatory place and it is ideal for business, scientific, cultural and commercial events. It is one of the largest and most versatile congress centers in Portugal.
